Happy New Year Beauties!
Can you believe that we are already 18 days into 2017?!?!? i can’t. Maybe that’s because i spent the first 13 on vacay and these last two (including today) sick 🙁 . The vacay was fun but the sick . . . not so much.
On January 2nd, my newbie wife and i went on a 11 night Southern Caribbean cruise on Royal Caribbean. We visited a total of 6 islands: Antigua, St. Lucia, Curacao, Bonaire, Grenada, and Barbados.

We loved the islands SO MUCH that we already booked another one next year around the same time!
If you’ve never cruised before, it’s something i highly recommend doing at least once in your life.

What i love about cruising is that everything is done for you — the food, the driving, the activities, the cleaning of your room. And you get to travel to places that not many of us have heard of let alone by a plane ticket to. It’s like a buffet. You get to sample some of the most beautiful places in the world and then pick which one’s you want to get full on.
Bonaire was one of those places that my partner and absolutely fell in love with — particularly Sorobon Beach. Because the water is surrounded by coral reef the water is shallow for what feels like forever. i’m 5’0 and no matter how far i went the water never went passed my neck. The color is unlike any other ocean we’ve been too. It’s like a neon mint turquoise that is just so electrifying.

This is the second time i’ve started the new year traveling via a cruise and there’s something to be said about ringing in a new year on an adventurous / experience note. It leaves me feeling like anything is possible and that my year is going to be full of unexpected and life-changing experiences.
And this is exactly the kind of vibe i want my 2017 to be filled with: adventure, experiences, gratitude, beauty, travel, wonderment, crystal clear presence, connection, and awareness that the world is bigger than just me and what’s happening in the United States.
As we get ready to shift from hope to uncertainty in two days, these are things i want to infuse myself with. These are the energies i want to surround myself in. These are the feelings that i want to experience.

i’m excited to dig into 2017 — even though all i really want to do right now (and all i’m capable of doing) is binge watching Westworld, Game of Thrones and Leah Remini: Scientology and the Aftermath.
i hope these next 347 days are filled with the kinds of experiences and adventures that light you up, make your heart sing, and make you dance.
